Club Rules and etiquette

By joining as a Riverside South Junior & Adult Badminton Club (RSBC) member, you are also agreeing to abide by the rules and etiquette of the club. RSBC believes that its members & participants are responsible individuals and would like to treat all players accordingly. Consequently, the club tries to keep club rules and etiquette to a minimum.

 

Club rules and etiquette are as follows:

1) All players are required to sign a waiver before accepted as an RSBC member. Those who choose not to sign the waiver will not be accepted as RSBC members

2) Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable

3) Payers must wear clean, indoor-only, non-marking, soft-soled shoes. Protective glasses are highly recommended for the person who is under 16 years of age. Club have a few spare protective glasses in case you forget to bring your own.

4) Persons under 16 years of age must be supervised by an adult at all times and may not enter the gymnasium.

5) Bring your own rackets, and Yonex Mavis 300 Shuttlecock will be provided

6) Players can communicate issues/questions/comments directly to RSBC organizer

7) Food & drinks are not allowed in the gym facilities.

8) Any member who exhibits behavior that would be deemed inappropriate and/or jeopardize the use of club facilities, will be asked to leave the club, by the executive, without a refund of registration fees.

9) The club is responsible to bring the appropriate first aid materials to assist its members in the case of injury.

10) Club members may bring guests who will be required to pay a guest fee. Guest fees will be established by the club Executive.

11) COVID-19 vaccinations are not required, however by attending a play night you are confirming the following: You are in good health with no COVID symptoms and you have not been in direct contact with someone with an active case of COVID. Mask is not mandatory but highly recommended when social distance cannot be maintained.

 

RSBC uses court waiting system to ensure all players have equal and fair access to the courts. Please ensure that you familiarize yourself with the system.

All play is doubles unless numbers permit otherwise.
